100 Days Smarter

We celebrated the 100th day of school on Tuesday!  The day was filled with activities incorporating the number 100, including a community meeting, movement activities, collecting 100 words, writing different ways to make 100, and creating our 100 museums!

In science we are continuing to study motion.  This week students created 3 different twirler designs and tested them to see which one spins the best.  In the process they learned more about air resistance and the importance of a force to create motion.

Our persuasive writing unit wrapped up this week.  I've received a variety of letters trying to convince me to get a pet for the classroom.  After much back and forth letter writing, and lots of research by Abigail, I have been swayed!  Next week we will have a pet fish in room 108!
