Happenings

We were picked to lead the March community meeting, so we decided to use our time to celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday and Read Across America Day!

In science students made wheel and axle systems to study a new motion: rolling!

We are continuing to focus on our fluency during readers workshop.  Students are focusing on accuracy, expression, rate, and punctuation when reading in an effort to sound smooth like a storyteller.

Our new writing unit brings us back to small moment stories.  This time, we are studying the writing of Donald Crews to inspire us to try new craft moves in our stories.
We finished unit 6 of Everyday Math this week.  Unit 7 will focus on:

-Fact families
-Subtraction fact strategies
-Exploring attributes
-Digital clocks
