A traveling planetarium came to Rowe this week as part of our winter solstice science unit!  We learned more about day and night, the sun, constellations, and other planets!

In readers workshop, students have been using post-it notes in their books to show characters' feelings and to show their thinking as they read.

Students were hard at work publishing their realistic fiction stories all week!  On Friday, we got a chance to read our stories to students and teachers in the other first grade classrooms!

Mr. Urban along with his ukelele lead a holiday sing along on Thursday!
